Meet Mrs. Ryan
I was born in just outside of Washington DC but moved to a citrus ranch in Southern California when I was six years old. I loved growing up there - we had dogs, cats, ducks, geese, chickens, goats, sheep and horses. We even tried peacocks but they were too noisy!
Every summer I visited my dad and his family at the beach on Long Island, NY. I loved the East coast so much that I decided to go to college there. I spent 5 years at Boston College getting my bachelors and masters degrees in Education.
Then I moved to San Francisco and I have been here ever since! I live right next to Golden Gate Park with my husband Joe and our two sons, Grady (9) and Will (6).
This is my 17th year teaching Kindergarten at Reed School. Kindergarten is truly an amazing year, full of changes and growth in every child. My goal has always been to provide a strong foundation for learning, and to create a positive and warm first experience so that children love school in the years to come. I feel fortunate to work in this community where education is a priority and where I can call my fellow teachers and former families my friends!
